Library
The NBQA has a quilting resource library comprised of hundreds of titles. The collection is housed at the Cranston, RI Central Library on Sockanosset Ave. Books are available for circulation through the RI Library CLAN system.

Door Prizes
Tickets for door prizes are given at the door during meeting check-in. Tickets are drawn for door prizes at the end of the general meeting.

Refreshments:
Refreshments are available prior to and after meetings. A sign-up sheet is passed around for bringing snacks (cheese, crackers, fruit, veggies), a dessert or beverages for the next meeting. If you sign up, a postcard reminder will be mailed to you.

Pot Luck Supper:
A Pot Luck Supper is held at the January meeting at 6:30 PM. A sign-up sheet is passed around at meetings prior to January. Main dishes, salads etc. are needed. It is a great time to meet other members and visit with friends.

Programs:
A lecture or trunk show is usually presented at evening meetings and a workshop is offered during the day of the meeting.

Show and Tell:
This is an opportunity to share your work with our group. Don't be shy!

Quilt Block of the Month Drawing:
A CD or booklet of monthly patterns (also on our website)  is provided.  Make a block for the applicable month and bring it to that month's meeting. By participating in the Block of the Month you will receive a pin with a picture of the block of the month and you will be entered into a drawing to win all the blocks entered that month. If enough blocks are made, multiple names are drawn and the blocks are divided among the winners.

Fat Quarter of the month:
Any member may bring in a fat quarter to the meeting - or two or three....and so on. They will get a raffle ticket for each fat quarter they bring. And at the end of the meeting one ticket will be drawn to win the whole pot. There is a "theme" for each month.

Summer Challenge:
A theme and specifications are announced in May for the "summer challenge". The completed quilts are viewed and voted on at the September's meeting. Prizes are awarded.

Comfort Quilts:
There is an ongoing collection of small quilts for donation (i.e. hospital nurseries, Ronald McDonald House). The Guild ultimately makes the decision of where to donate. We do two Quilt-a-thons per year. They are great fun, a good way to meet other members and a good cause.

Bus Trips:
Bus trips to quilt shows, shops etc. are offered occasionally. Details are announced at meetings, in the newsletter and on the NBQA web site.

Message Board and Table:
Upcoming quilt related events, quilt shops, etc. information is posted on the board or flyers are on the table at meetings.

Raffle Quilt:
In Quilt Show years, the guild membership makes a raffle quilt. Members are asked to sell raffle tickets.

Quilt Show:
A Quilt Show of NBQA members' quilts is held biennially at North Kingstown High School. Much help is needed.

Guests:

If you wish to being a guest to an NBQA General Meeting, you must call the Membership Chairperson to see if an opening is available and reserve that opening in advance of the meeting. There are 5 guest slots available per meeting.
